  • Golden Marvels of Byzantium: A Millennium of Finger-Rings (3rd - 13th Centuries), a book and an exhibition, assembles eighteen rings from several private collections that date from the beginning of the Empire to the time of the last Palaeologan dynasty. The rings are divided by theme into four categories: Constantine and Christianity, the Virgin and the Saints, Marriage, and the Imperial Court and its Power. They represent superior examples in excellent condition of the major types of Byzantine rings: gemstones, monograms, marriage rings, and signets.
